In the Protestant Church, female ministere are in function in holland, Switzerland, Finland as well as in France. And so are woman rabbis.

FDor The Catholics unfortunantely, Jesus-Christ's message wich was revolutionary in his times, has been completely diverted by the fathers of the cChurch and the hierarchy, for the benefit of their "dearly beloved brethren." All the old prejudices about women are still in action. The last example is the recent metting of one hundred cardinals and bishops from all western and eastern Europe in Rome, to discuss about the new attitudes con- cerning birth and death. And nothing new was decided! The Lord Bishop of Mainz, Karl Lehmann, Président for Germany, even surprisef everyone by saying he was in favour "of natural birth." He explained that suffering was essential to life and that avoiding it with analgesics, when birth-giving for instance, made women unable to understand pain and share compassion. The same old trick going on! Why not advise men to refuse anesthesia when they get a tooth pulled out, in order to share more thoroughly human compassion?

As  an answer to this situation, what is the reaction to-day in France? Strangely enough, it's appeasement wich prevails. According to the official speech, equality is acieved and there is nothing left to fight for.
