In the Protestant Church, female ministere are in function in holland, Switzerland, Finland as well as in France. And so are woman rabbis.
Dcnew attitudes con- cerning birth and death. And nothing new was decided! The Lord Bishop of Mainz, Karl Lehmann, Président for Germany, even surprisef everyone by saying he was in favour "of natural birth." He explained that suffering was essential to life and that avoiding it with analgesics, when birth-giving for instance, made women unable to understand pain and share compassion. The same old trick going on! Why not advise men to refuse anesthesia when they get a tooth pulled out, in order to share more thoroughly human compassion?
As an answer to this situation, what is the reaction to-day in France? Strangely enough, it's appeasement wich prevails.
